About Opportunity
The US-based organization Artadia is currently inviting applications for its prestigious 2024 New York City Awards. Artists and collaborative teams from the contemporary visual arts community in the United States, irrespective of their career stage, are encouraged to apply. Artadia welcomes submissions of artwork intended for exhibition in a contemporary art context, encompassing all forms of visual media. Awardees will be selected through a two-tier jury process. Initially, the organization’s jury will choose six finalists based on their portfolio, demonstrated artistic excellence, rigorous practice, and artworks created within the past three years. From this pool, three finalists will be shortlisted to receive an unrestricted grant of $15,000 each.
About Organizer
Artadia is a nonprofit grantmaking organization founded in 1999 in the US. Artadia supports and encourages visual artists, curators, and patrons, focusing on advancing the careers of artists during critical stages of their practice through acknowledgment, grant distribution, community assistance, and advocacy. Since its establishment, Artadia has provided over $6 million in unrestricted funds to 399 artists across eight cities.

All contemporary visual artists, who live, work or have ever resided at least 2 years in: Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, or Staten Island can apply for the competition
