About Opportunity

The Prince Claus Fund with the collaboration of the British Council is inviting 12 experienced artists to take part in their year-long multidisciplinary programme – Mentorship Award: Moving Narratives. The artists should be socially and politically active, with proven cultural practice and working across diverse mediums/approaches, required professional experience is 7 to 15 years. The Mentorship program includes workshops, reading groups, guest talks, peer-to-peer review sessions and the creation of a joint project in the form of a printed publication. Supported by four mentors, participants will be encouraged to experiment, exchange, and develop artistic approaches toward gender, race, or other intersectional issues.

The Prince Claus Fund was founded in 1996 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The Fund’s mission is to support, honor and connect artists all over the world, especially from regions where cultural expression is under pressure and threat.

Eligibility:

  • Experienced artists and cultural practitioners (with 7 to 15 years of relevant professional experience) can participate.
